- The Merryman started off as a joke character created by DarkShadows, Aidan Rogge, and Tony Dallape in one of their group Skype chats. He originally told puns to the people he stalked, but slowly evolved into something increasingly darker as his creators began writing silly short paragraphs about his misadventures.
