The Lilim are the servants of the Mother of Snakes. They are people who give in to her temptations and their inner dark side while looking through a mirror. After she tests them to determine their worth, she gifts them with serpentine features, like fangs and scales. They are nearly all women, with a few notable exceptions, and have the ability to travel through mirrors and The Garden of Desolation.
