Kristian Vines is an ex-BASE member who worked on their security.
He was first mentioned in "#24 The Greenway Trial" when Pavel found a tape at Greenway Trail marked "Kris Vines #1" and "KV #2". These tapes were later played in episodes #27 and #28. He is voiced by Phobos.

"Kris Vines #1"[]
Kristian is established to be a former military agent that served during an unknown war, which caused him to develop Posttraumatic stress disorder and getting a job in private security. He eventually received treatment from a therapist called Dr. Janes Cycles, who attempted to help him adjust to everyday life. He is very reluctant to admit that he is not doing alright however, even after several horrible nightmares involving death.
Even when he is given a Rorschach test and sees disturbing images involving grinning teeth, blood, mass graves, eyes, snakes, flocks of birds, and a dog, he denies that he has a problem. Despite this, he becomes rather agitated when he sees a picture that resembles a little girl and leaves his session. This seems to imply that some of the traumatic events he experience during the war might have involved innocent people.

After a month of no contact with Jane, Kristian maintains the belief that he is fine even after becoming unemployed and obtaining tear-like scars on him. He is eventually persuaded by Dr. Cycles to explain where he got the scars from and he reveals that a black dog he has been seeing frequently, who appears to be following him and growls at him constantly. He goes on to mention that when the pound was unsuccessful in capturing it, he took matters into his own hands and shot it in its leg.
This didn't do much however, as someone saw what Kristian did and tried helping the dog, only to have it tear his arm off and molded it into the stump. The dog then attacked Kristian and left the tear-like scars on him. Jane thinks this is merely a dream, but Kristian tells her that it was very real and he visited the man in the hospital, who is revealed to be Maxim Hall. Kristian tells Jane that he and his wife Rose, whom he met in Russia and took her surname, were his neighbors and he met Maxim while they both worked at Breaking Apathy Science and Exploration were the two of them were hired to move items and guard executives.
Kristian feels extremely guilty about this, especially since the couple just adopted a baby boy around the same time the dog showed up. Kristian notices something strange and runs outside of the office despite Jane's pleas. Before the video ends, the growls of a dog can be heard.
