Dr Beakman is a servant of the Plague Doctor, specifically a Mad Doctor. He runs an institution known as "Shady Lawn", which he runs like an 19th century asylum. His profession is that of a psychiatrist, but he enjoys mentally tormenting his patients. It is a mystery as to whether "Beakman" is his real name, or a nod to his patron.
He was first introduced in the blog To Light a Candle.
